Iframe script

You can find detailed information about web integration here. ⚠️ This documentation is not fully up to date and the script is for the old version of the iframe. You can also consult this more recent page on HelpCentre.

Script for the latest version of the iframe

<script type="text/javascript">
var Outdoorsy = Outdoorsy || {};
Outdoorsy.color = "1b4a8f";
(function() {
var script = document.createElement("script");
script.src = "https://d3cuf6g1arkgx6.cloudfront.net/sdk/wheelbase.min.js";
script.async = true;
var entry = document.getElementsByTagName("script")[0];
entry.parentNode.insertBefore(script, entry);
})();
</script>
<div id="outdoorsy-book-now-container" data-owner="XXXX" data-newfilters="true" data-calendar=false data-color="000000"></div>

What do I do with it?

  • To integrate the standard store iframe on your website, you must first get access to the website back office.

  • Once you have access to your back office, it's all about inserting a "template" (different tools will use different naming but they usually called those template widget, iframe, HTML ...

  • Copy the above script and replace the XXXX in data-owner=“XXXX” to your Wheelbase User ID #. Please ask your Wheelbase contact person for our User ID. Once done, it's as simple as pasting the script into the template you've added to the webpage where you want to place your booking component.

There are also a few customization possibilities described in the "Customization" section of the Wheelbase technical documentation here.

  • Some simple customization is possible and described in the "Customization" section of our technical documentation here. Be careful, those customization might not all apply to the latest version of the iframe

  • It's possible to embed a vehicle-specific iframe (literally the 2nd step of the checkout flow, or the vehicle card) for cases where you only have a few listings or vehicle types and have dedicated web pages for those units where you want to offer the option to book the unit straight away.

How to use with Wordpress

Alternatively, if you have a wordpress site, there is a simplified plugin to help get things setup. This is necessary cause wordpress blocks scripts from loading inside posts sometimes.

  1. Install the plugin located at https://github.com/outdoorsy/wheelbase-wordpress-plugin Installation instructions included in the README

  2. On any page where you want to embed the storefront, simply add the correct shortcode

[wheelbase owner=XXXX newfilters=“true” color=000000]
