We are introducing our NEW Stationary Insurance Bundle to Wheelbase.*

You will now have the option to offer a Stationary Insurance bundle to your guests for a reduced price.

Before:

Before the change, you would have selected “delivery only” on your booking to indicate you are delivering and picking up your unit for a booking where your guest WILL NOT BE DRIVING THE VEHICLE over the course of trip duration. Insurance coverage and price would be the same as with the standard "Get Insurance" option and the package that is selected. If you need a recap on how this works check out the article here.

NOW:

Now you can get a discounted insurance rate if you are delivering and picking up your unit from a booking in cases where the guest IS NOT BE DRIVING THE VEHICLE over the course of dates booked. You can select the NEW Stationary Insurance Bundle on your bookings if you are delivering the unit and the renter will not move the unit during the rental period.

  • You still need to enter the Renter's DOB to ensure they are 25+

  • REMEMBER: Your Delivery Drivers (this may include you) must be entered and passed as verified drivers in the Delivery Drivers section of your Account Settings. (Account Settings > Delivery Drivers)

HOW TO SET IT UP:

You do not need to set it up, it will automatically be an option for you and your guest if you are using the Wheelbase Insurance under your premium services or vehicle specific settings.

HOW IT WORKS FOR YOUR GUEST:

During the Checkout flow, the guest can select if they would like to get the vehicle delivered. Once they do that, they get presented with two options:

Option 1:

Option 2:

Option 2 will automatically change the insurance bundle (Basic, Essential, Peace of Mind) to the stationary bundle for a discounted insurance rate.

HOW YOU CAN MANAGE STATIONARY INSURANCE BUNDLE IN WHEELBASE:

Option 1: Select stationary package on your quote builder modal

Option 2: Select stationary package via the update package button on existing quotes and reservations before the departure date
