Outdoorsy automatically collects and remits taxes for all bookings confirmed through outdoorsy.com. However, for Direct Bookings (made via your personal website), taxes are calculated based on the custom settings in your dashboard’s "Tax Rates" section. These funds are included in your payouts, and you are responsible for remitting them to the appropriate authorities.
1099-K Tax Form
You will receive a 2025 tax form (1099-K) as required by law if:
you had more than $20,000 in reportable payment/total booking value, AND

more than 200 bookings

the total booking value is the combined value of all rental income, guest/host fees, and insurance
this includes funds claimed from the security deposit
there is no transaction limit, which means the total earnings figure can be earned in any amount of transactions, whether it's one booking or one hundred.
