Introduction
This article outlines the differences in how the deductible is processed for guests (with Protection Package insurance coverage) booking through your direct website vs. guests who book on outdoorsy.com
Direct Guest Deductible
You are responsible for the insurance deductible for your direct guests. The Wheelbase deductible is always 2% of the 'Replacement Value' entered under the 'Vehicles/Overview' section of your dashboard. Minimum of $500. Maximum of $1,500
Note: Deductible amount can range anywhere between $500-$1500 on the basis of vehicle 'Replacement Value'
Example:
-
A unit with a replacement value of $80,000: 2% of $80,000 = $1,600 The insurance deductible for this unit would be $1,500
-
A unit with a replacement value of $50,000: 2% of $50,000 = $1,000 The insurance deductible for this unit would be $1,000
-
A unit with a replacement value of $24,000: 2% of $24,000 = $480 The insurance deductible for this unit would be $500
Note: If no 'Replacement Value' is entered into your Wheelbase account for that vehicle, the insurance deductible will default to the maximum.
Note: Please be mindful of setting your Security Deposit appropriately to ensure you are covered in the event of a claim. For more information, click here.
After filing a claim, our Outdoorsy claims representatives will work with you to collect the deductible amount.
