The Policies & Documents section allows you to manage the legal and operational framework of your auto rental business. Configuring these settings ensures that your business’s rental agreement, cancellation rules, and vehicle guidelines are automatically communicated to every guest.
Reservation Documents
This is where you will upload your business’s rental contract and any additional key documents for your renters.
E-signatures (when toggled on under ‘Premium Services’) allow your renters to electronically sign your rental agreement. To enable this feature, be sure to check Include in sSign Document.
For most effective and optimal use of e-signature functionality, you will need to add signature tags where you want the signatures to appear. Add the tags to the Word version of your document first, then save and upload the file as a PDF. Reservation Cancellation Policies
Auto hosts have standard cancellation policy options within Wheelbase: Flexible, Moderate, or Strict.
You may also choose to create a custom cancellation policy unique to your business. Your chosen policy will be clearly displayed on the first page of the renter's receipt.
Rules of the Road
Use this section to outline the specific "Dos and Don'ts" for your vehicles. These rules will also appear on the renter's receipt. Common examples for auto hosts include:
- No smoking in vehicles.
- No pets (unless specifically permitted for a particular vehicle).
- The vehicle must be returned in the same condition of cleanliness as it was received.
