This guide shows you how to sync your Turo vehicle calendars with Wheelbase when your Turo and Wheelbase account use a matching Yahoo email address.
Turo doesn’t provide a calendar feed, so the sync has two parts:
- A calendar connection in Wheelbase, using your Turo vehicle ID.
- Email forwarding, which sends Turo’s booking emails to your Wheelbase account.
You need both. The calendar connection alone won’t pick up trips.
Important: The email on your Turo account must be the same as the email on your Wheelbase account.
Before you start: how Yahoo is different
Yahoo Mail handles forwarding differently from Gmail and Outlook:
- Yahoo filters can’t forward emails. They can only move emails into folders, so you can’t forward only the emails that come from Turo.
- Automatic forwarding needs a paid Yahoo Mail Plus subscription. It also forwards every email in your inbox, not just Turo’s.
Because of this, we recommend using a Gmail or Outlook for a more streamlined calendar sync (Option A outlined under Step 2 below).
Step 1: Connect your Turo calendar in Wheelbase
- In Wheelbase, open the vehicle and go to the Calendar section.
- Select Manage Calendars.
- In the pop-up, choose Turo as the calendar type. Don’t choose External ICS.
- Enter the Turo Vehicle ID. It’s the number at the end of the URL on your Turo listing page.
- Click Add Calendar.
- At the bottom of the pop-up you’ll see your Wheelbase forwarding address. It looks like this: (your Wheelbase user ID)-turo@reply.outdoorsy.co. Copy it.
Tip: Make sure the address ends in .co, not .com. This is the most common reason the sync doesn’t work.
Repeat Step 1 for each vehicle you want to sync. You only need to set up email forwarding once.
Step 2: Forward your Turo emails
Option A (recommended): Switch to a Gmail or Outlook address
This option forwards only your Turo emails and is the most reliable.
- Use a Gmail or Outlook.com address you already have, or create a free one.
- Change the email on your Turo account to this address.
- Change the email on your Wheelbase account to the same address.
- Set up forwarding with the guide for your email provider:
Option B: Forward all emails with Yahoo Mail Plus
Choose this option only if you want to keep your Yahoo address and you have Yahoo Mail Plus.
Note: With this option, every email sent to your Yahoo inbox is forwarded to Wheelbase, not just Turo’s. It works best with a Yahoo address you use only for Turo.
- Sign in to Yahoo Mail and click Settings, then More Settings.
- Select Mailboxes, then choose your primary mailbox.
- Under Auto-forwarding, enter the address you copied in Step 1.
- Click Verify and follow any prompts that appear on your screen.
- Click Save.
Verify the setup
It’s always a good idea to check that everything is working:
- In Wheelbase, go to Manage Calendars for the vehicle and confirm the Turo calendar is listed.
- If you used Option A: follow the “Verify the Setup” steps in the Gmail or Outlook guide.
- If you used Option B: go back to Settings → Mailboxes in Yahoo and confirm that auto-forwarding is turned on and verified.
Your Turo messages should start appearing in your Wheelbase account within 24 hours of the next Turo notification.
